Bacterial-free DNA Production

OverView

Plasmid DNA is widely used as a critical material in therapeutic products, including mRNA and viral vector (AAV and Lentivirus). Traditional plasmid consists of origin of replication and resistance genes. Many developers are experiencing ongoing challenges with plasmid DNA supply, including slow or delayed production and poor DNA quality (due to unstable or complex sequences), impacting their ability to meet manufacturing and clinical timelines, and regulatory demands.

As shown in Figure, Bacterial-free DNA production is based on enzymatic process and further eliminate bacterial elements. The manufacturing we use leads to high yields with shortened production timelines, facilitating quicker production of rAAV and potentially increasing safety by eliminating bacterial elements within plasmid DNA.

Three types of bacterial-free DNA are currently manufactured in our facilities: Helper (pF6), RepCap (RC) and AAV transgenes (GOI). We could provide different grades of bacterial-free DNA production in our facilities: Research, Pre-Clinical.
